We Are Building the Alliance Now

The Pinellas STR Owners Alliance is in its earliest and most important stage. The owners who participate now will help determine what the organization becomes.

Join the Founding Group

Phase 1 Gather the Founding Owners

September through October 2026

  • Invite Pinellas STR owners to register
  • Build the founding-participant contact list
  • Gather owners' concerns and priorities
  • Identify leadership candidates
  • Identify volunteers and potential committee members
  • Prepare for the inaugural meeting

Phase 2 Hold the Inaugural Organizational Meeting

November 2026. The exact date, time, location, and virtual-participation option will be announced after arrangements are confirmed.

Proposed Meeting Agenda

  1. Welcome and owner introductions
  2. Why the alliance is being formed
  3. Review of the proposed mission and guiding principles
  4. Discussion of current owner concerns
  5. Review of the proposed organizational structure
  6. Nominations for leadership positions
  7. Election of initial officers
  8. Discussion of membership categories, responsibilities, and dues
  9. Formation of initial committees
  10. Selection of the alliance's first priorities
  11. Next meeting and immediate action items

Phase 3 Elect Officers

Proposed positions may include:

  • President or Chair
  • Vice President or Vice Chair
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Membership Chair
  • Government Affairs and Advocacy Chair
  • Communications Chair
  • Responsible Hosting and Community Relations Chair

The founding participants will determine the final positions, eligibility requirements, terms, voting procedures, and responsibilities.

Phase 4 Form the Membership

Founding participants will help approve membership qualifications, categories, voting rights, annual dues, member responsibilities, a code of conduct, responsible-hosting commitments, committee structure, and decision-making procedures.

Phase 5 Begin the Alliance's Work

After formation, the alliance will begin member education, government outreach, policy research, responsible-hosting programs, membership recruitment, and community partnerships.
