Frequently Asked Questions

We are building the Alliance together. Here is what the founding stage means for you.

Join the Founding Group
Is the alliance officially formed?

The alliance is currently in its founding and organizing stage. The inaugural meeting will allow participating owners to help establish leadership, membership, operating rules, and priorities.

Who can participate?

Our first organizing effort is focused on Pinellas County short-term rental owners and hosts. Opportunities for property managers, service providers, and local business partners will be developed as the alliance grows.

Is the alliance only concerned with the occupancy limit?

No. Current ordinance concerns are important, but the alliance is being created as a permanent organization focused on advocacy, education, responsible hosting, member communication, economic recognition, and community relationships.

Does the alliance oppose all regulation?

No. We support reasonable measures that protect guest safety and neighborhood quality. We advocate for rules that are fair, evidence-based, practical, consistently enforced, and developed with meaningful owner participation.

Is the alliance limited to unincorporated Pinellas County?

The alliance is intended to unite owners throughout Pinellas County. Initial ordinance work may focus on unincorporated Pinellas County because individual municipalities have separate regulations.

Why does the form request my home and rental-property addresses?

The information helps the alliance confirm an owner's jurisdiction, communicate accurately, and prepare for future membership verification. Addresses will be kept private and will not be placed in a public member directory without permission.

Will there be membership dues?

The founding participants will help determine whether dues are needed and, if so, the appropriate amount and membership categories. Joining the initial interest list does not create a financial obligation.

Can I become an officer?

Yes. The alliance will seek owners willing to contribute time, leadership, professional skills, or community relationships. Proposed officers will be nominated and elected through the founding process.

How can I help before the inaugural meeting?

Join the founding list, invite other responsible owners, share your priorities, volunteer for a committee, and attend the inaugural meeting.

Your property. Your investment. Your community. Your voice.
